The following is a brief description of the deck cleaning process that Deck Devil uses.

Step #1: All furniture, plants, and other objects are removed from the deck and surrounding area. Notice in the following pictures how carefully the plants are tied back from the deck. The deck is then swept and cleaned of foriegn debris if necessary.

Step #2: Once the deck is prepared we spray the wood with a biodegradeable, environmentally friendly deck cleaning chemical.
Step #3: The chemical is then brushed into the wood and allowed to "work" on the dirt and dead wood fibres that are covering the fresh, natural wood lying beneath the gray surface.
Step #4: Once sufficient time as elapsed for the chemical to do its job, we pressure wash the wood. Great care is taken during this step to make sure adequate pressure is used to clean the wood effectively. However we must also be careful not to use excessive pressure and scar the wood. This is where the expertise of our staff comes into play. Our staff is aware of the differences in the sensitivities of the various types of wood and use only the appropriate amount of pressure that the wood can withstand.
Step #5: Once cleaned the wood is stained to protect it from any future damage due to weathering.

Notice the amazing difference between the cleaned and uncleaned portions of this deck.

This is a close-up of the uncleaned wood. Our process can clean even the most extreme levels of weather damaged wood.
